Frequently Asked Questions
- How often should I have my carpet cleaned?
- The frequency depends on your traffic load, but generally every 6 months is recommended.
- What cleaning method is best?
- Industry experts and major carpet manufacturers agree the hot water, extraction method is the most thorough.
- How long does the cleaning take?
- Please allow 2 hours for your carpet cleaning job.
- Can I walk on the carpet soon after cleaning?
- Usually carpets are dry enough for light traffic after 3 hours.
- Will cleaning affect my allergies?
- We have just the right cleaning solution for those with allergies. No solvents, no butyl, and no chlorides. Plus, your carpet will be thoroughly rinsed with clear softened water.
- Does cleaning leave a residue on the carpet fibers?
- No, if residue is left in your carpet, it will resoil quickly. Our low residue cleaning solutions are thoroughly extracted by our high performance equipment, and the final step in our cleaning process is a soft clear water rinse.
- Can pet stains and odors be removed?
- These issues can be addressed economically, or more expensively depending on your particular needs. The most permanent treatment will be the most expensive. After an evaluation using our specialized test equipment, we will explain our findings and offer a recommendation, so you can make the best choice for your situation.
- Can red stains be removed?
- We have a 99% success rate at removing red stains.
- Why do I see black lines along the baseboards?
- Commonly, these are filtration lines caused by the home air conditioning system. Though they are difficult to remove, a special cleaning process can be successful. To minimize the lines, try to leave interior doors open to allow air to flow easily throughout the home, instead of under the walls.
- Are your technicians professionally trained?
- We employ technicians certified by the IICRC (the most respected carpet care association worldwide). Areas of certification include carpet cleaning, color repair, fire & smoke restoration, textile cleaning, water restoration, odor control, carpet repair & re-installation, carpet inspection, and upholstery & fabric cleaning.
- What do I need to do before the technician arrives?
- Very little is needed to prepare your home before our arrival. We ask that you remove any plants, lamps, nic-nacs or other items resting on furniture being moved. Our techicians will move light furniture, vacuum, and prepare the carpet for cleaning.
- Are the ads for "3 rooms for $49.00" legitimate?
- Companies cannot make money at those prices. Typically, they are counting on charging you for additional services at inflated prices to make the job profitable. When comparing prices, be sure to compare the same services. Remember - legitimate service companies carry liability insurance for your protection.
